Day 08 – A moment, in great detail

((OOC: Both of these turned into *several* moments, in great detail. Hence, they're both behind LJ cuts. I also only just finished writing them last night, so they're a day late. Translations for Yami's Khemetic speech will follow after Yugi's moment.))

Day 07 – Your best friend, in great detail
I don't play favorites among my friends. They're all my best friends, and they're all my family too.

I've been friends with Téa Gardner since elementary school. She reached out to me, was kind to me, defended me against bullies whenever she could. She always stuck by me.

Joey Wheeler and Tristan Taylor are more recent additions to my group. I met them in middle school, and while they teased me a lot, they did generally hang around me. And even though they teased me, they never actually bullied me. So I considered them friends even before I solved the Puzzle. But what "officially" brought them into my group was the incident that prompted me to work on the Millennium Puzzle all night.

Needless to say, Yami is also my friend. He's been as much of a father to me as Grandpa has.

I met Ryou Bakura shortly after I solved the Puzzle. He'd just moved to Dominion with his father from London. Bumped into me outside the school—we were both late!—and ended up sitting next to me in US History. We started talking in whispers during class, and I invited him to join me and my friends for lunch. He's stuck with us ever since... until he ran away after Téa nearly got killed by Malik. I'm still worried sick about him.

Jeni, my girlfriend, used to be in the popular group at school. I already explained the details of her departure from that group. Rika Miyagi, Joey's girlfriend, was also in that group and departed it for almost the same reasons. (Almost in that she left it because she was dating Joey ;).)

April is... special to me, in a platonic way. (After all, she's already dating Clark Kent!) She helped me find out where Bakura was and if he was okay. It helped alleviate a lot of my fear for him, and I'll never forget that.

That's everyone... so far.

My two best friends were Malik and Methos. We grew up together, the sons of the Pharaoh, Vizier, and Captain of the Royal Guard, respectively. Malik is five years older than me. Methos was one year older than me. We were as brothers to one another.

When Malik was 15, he received his first twelve visions. Methos and I wrote them all down, though he's never seen the logs. By now they're not likely to have survived.

When I took the throne, Malik and Methos assumed their father's roles. Malik was my Vizier. Methos was the Captain of my Royal Guard. Malik died with me in the ritual that imprisoned the Shadow Games. ...We left Methos behind. We didn't tell him we'd be coming back in modern times, even though both of us knew we would be. We were scared that he would... try to find a way to become immortal or something, and he would destroy himself looking for something that was impossible to get.

Sometimes, I regret that decision...

Day 06 – Your day, in great detail
...Well, since Yami and I share a body, no reason to have both of us answer, so again, I'm the only one writing this time.

Uh... it was a school-day, so I woke up around... 7-ish? Had a quick breakfast, coffee, etc, then we went off to school. (Yami and I, that is.) It's not a long walk, maybe five or ten minutes. I'm usually there early. Hung out with Jeni, Rika, Joey, Tristan, and Téa until school started.

Today was a "C" day, so I had... Latin I first period, at 7:45 AM. Second period, at 8:35 AM, was Science Fiction & Horror. AWESOME English class. Announcements are at 9:25 AM, always, every day, no matter what the rest of the schedule. At 10:40 AM, had my third class, World History (Yami always enjoys this one). 11:30 AM, I had Trigonometry (I'm the only Sophomore in the class... go figure). 12:15 PM is lunch. 1:15 PM is Choir. Those two also remain the same, every day. At 2:05 PM, had Phys Ed. At 2:55 PM, had Physics. Finally, at 3:45 PM, we got out of school. Mostly, it was an uneventful day, except for the one or two bullies who tried to beat me up. I mopped the floor with them instead. That was the reason I started taking Tae Kwon Do in the first place. :)

Following school, I had Tae Kwon Do for about an hour. Then I went home, helped Grandpa out at the store until he closed, then Yami and I played games until about 8:00 PM. Fable II and Fable III, mostly. :) Then I started winding down for bed. Finishing off with this, then I'll be off to bed. :)
